Created in 1947 by Rose Repetto in France, the brand Repetto has been inseparable from the world of ballet. The founder created her first ballet shoes with a unique know-how ‘Stitch-and-Return’, used today to make every single pair of Repetto shoes. The sole is stitched inside out by our craftsmen and craftswomen before being turned inside out. It is this savoir-faire that gives Repetto pieces comfort and flexibility. Nowadays, our ballet shoes and ballerinas are handmade in our workshops in Saint Medard d'Excideuil in France following the tradition of our unique savoir-faire. Craftsmen and craftswomen working for Repetto all go through a long training course where they have been provided with unique know-how of the original ‘Stitch-and-Return’. Each pair of Repetto shoes is handmade and is inspired by ballet, the brand DNA. With its ballet heritage at the core, the brand is now well-known for its iconic ballerina flats and Mary Jane. The brand has also diversified over time. It now also offers clothing and bags to create a complete Repetto look.
