SEIBU MEMBERSHIP AND REWARD LOYALTY PROGRAMME
TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions govern the SEIBU Membership and Rewards Loyalty Programme operated by SEIBU, a division of SOGO (K.L.) Department Store Sdn. Bhd. The Programme allows members to earn SEIBU Reward Points on selected purchases at our SEIBU store and receive exclusive membership benefits.

1. Membership

1.1. To be a member, customers can download the SEIBUKL App and sign up within the app.

1.2. A new member will receive a digital SEIBU Membership card (‘e-Card’) and a unique membership number.

1.3. Each person may have only one membership and the e-Card shall be tied to the membership. The e-Card shall be for the member’s personal use only and may not be shared or distributed, or used for commercial purposes.

1.4. SEIBU reserves the right to suspend or cancel any e-Card together with all benefits and privileges tied to it if SEIBU believes the e-Card is not used in accordance with these terms and conditions.

2. Membership Tiers

2.1. There are 3 tiers of membership, namely BLACK (Tier 1), DIAMOND (Tier 2) and BLUE (Tier 3).

2.2. A new sign-up will initially be accorded ‘GUEST’ status. Upon the member having spent at least RM500 within 12 months of signing up, the member’s status will automatically be upgraded to BLUE membership.

2.3. As a ‘GUEST’, the member’s purchases will be rewarded with points but redemption of the points shall only be available when the membership status reaches at least BLUE within 12 months of signing up.

2.4 BLUE (Tier 3) Membership Information and Privileges:

2.4.1. Qualifying spend: RM500 - RM14,999 within a 12-month rolling period from the cutoff date.

2.4.2. Membership validity: 12 months from the date of upgrade or renewal.

2.4.3. Reward Points Conversion:
RM1=1 Point;
RM1 = 0.5 Points for Fine Jewellery, Luxury Watches and Food Hall purchases.

2.4.4. Double points for 7 days before, on, and after a member’s birthday during their birthday month.

2.5 DIAMOND (Tier 2) Membership Information and Privileges:

2.5.1. Qualifying spend: RM15,000 - RM29,999 within a 12-month rolling period from the cutoff date.

2.5.2. Membership validity: 12 months from the date of upgrade or renewal.

2.5.3. Reward Points Conversion:
RM1=2 Points;
RM1=1 Point for Fine Jewellery, Luxury watches and Food Hall purchases.

2.5.4. Double points for 7 days before, on, and after a member’s birthday during their birthday month.

2.6 BLACK (Tier 1) Membership Information and Privileges:

2.6.1. Qualifying spend: RM30,000 & above within a 12-month rolling period from the cutoff date.

2.6.2. Membership validity: 12 months from the date of upgrade or renewal.

2.6.3. Reward Points Conversion:
RM1=3 Points;
RM1=1.5 Points for Fine Jewellery and Luxury Watches
RM1=1 Point for Food Hall  purchases.

2.6.4. 10% Discount Days: Choice of 2 special days to receive a 10% discount.

2.6.5. Double points for 7 days before, on, and after a member’s birthday during their birthday month.

2.6.6. Parking Perks: Earn 1,500 points per redemption.

2.6.7. Access to VIP Lounge Access and complimentary lounge drinks.

2.6.8. Complimentary standard wrapping and service.

2.6.9. Special services (e.g. personal shopper assistance) as determined by SEIBU from time to time.

2.7. SEIBU may at its discretion extend the validity period of a membership tier or the qualifying spend period by up to a further 6 months.

3. Membership Qualifying Criteria

3.1. Membership tiers are determined based on a member’s total spend within a 12-month rolling period, starting from their individual cutoff date. A new cutoff date will be assigned at the beginning of each new membership year. Spending under the GUEST, BLUE, or DIAMOND tier will first be used to meet upgrade requirements before any rollover amount is considered.

3.2. BLUE and DIAMOND members can be upgraded to a higher tier at any time when their spending within the 12-month rolling period reaches the qualifying spend of the higher tier, effective from the next purchase. If a member’s spending within the rolling 12-month period does not meet the qualifying spend for their current tier, they may be downgraded by one tier, with BLUE being the lowest possible tier. If their spending meets the current tier's requirement, the member will retain their existing tier.

3.3. DIAMOND and BLACK members will retain their membership tier as long as they meet the qualifying spend for their respective tier within each 12-month rolling period.

3.4. Upon upgrading to the BLACK tier, a rollover spending amount will be calculated as follows:

3.4.1. For BLACK members, those who spend RM30,000 and above within 12 months will enjoy a 30% rollover of the amount exceeding RM30,000, capped at RM10,000. Additionally, if your total spending reaches RM150,000 or more, you will receive a flat RM30,000 rollover credit. If a BLACK member is downranked to DIAMOND due to not meeting the BLACK qualifying spend, the rollover entitlement will follow the DIAMOND tier.

3.4.2. For DIAMOND members, with spending between RM15,000 and RM29,999, you will enjoy a 20% rollover of the amount exceeding RM15,000, capped at RM3,000. This rollover only applies if the member requalifies as DIAMOND. If not, the member will be downranked.

3.4.3. For BLUE members, with spending between RM500 and RM14,999, the rollover benefit does not apply.

3.5. Spending Calculation Mechanism: Only rolling 12-month spendings are considered. Spendings made before the cutoff date or in floating status (within 14 days) will not be counted.

3.6. SEIBU reserves the right to amend the qualifying spend for each tier at any time and at its discretion.

4. Qualifying Purchases and Exclusions

4.1. Except for the following exclusions and items or brands specifically excluded at the prevailing time of purchase, the purchase of all items at our SEIBU store shall entitle the member to reward points and privileges attached to their membership.

4.2. The exclusions mentioned in the foregoing paragraph shall include:

4.2.1. Purchase of gift vouchers.

4.2.2. Use of reward e-coupons redeemed through the SEIBU Rewards Programme and Promotional Campaigns.

4.2.3. Purchases at non-participating brands and tenanted counters.

4.2.4. Restaurants, cafes, and other eateries or kiosks at SEIBU Food Hall.

4.2.5.Delivery charges and other service-related charges.

4.2.6. Items specifically excluded at the time of purchase.

4.3. More information on such exclusions will be made available at our in-store Customer Service.

5. Reward Points

5.1. Reward points are loyalty points earned on qualifying purchases at our SEIBU store and are issued based on the member’s membership tier at the time of purchase.

5.2. Reward points are earned on the total Ringgit Malaysia value of eligible purchases, rounded down to the nearest Ringgit Malaysia.

5.3. Members must present their e-Card at the time of payment to earn reward points. Failure to do so may result in non-issuance of points. Any exception to this condition shall be at the sole discretion of SEIBU.

5.4. If a purchase qualifies a member for a higher membership tier, points based on the higher tier shall apply from the immediate next purchase onwards up to 365 days from the date of the upgrade but shall not apply retroactively to purchases prior.

5.5. When reward points are used to pay for a purchase, the Ringgit value of the said points shall not qualify for further reward points.

5.6. In the event of a refund or an error, adjustment of points shall be proportionate to the value or in a manner that SEIBU deems most fair. In the case of refund, all points adjusted shall be subject to a cooling-off period of 14 days before they are available for redemption.

6. Redeeming Reward Points

6.1. Reward points may be used to pay for purchases in full or partially, or redeemed for rewards or gifts available from time to time and are subject to the provisions below.

6.2. Reward points are available for redemption in blocks of RM10.  The equivalent number of reward points required for each block shall be based on prevailing conversion rates.

6.3. Until they are available for redemption, reward points shall remain in the member's account until they expire.

6.4. Reward points are valid for 24 months from the date they are earned and shall expire on the last day of the 24th month.

6.5. Reward points that have been used to pay for purchases may not be reversed in the member’s account if the purchases are returned for refund. To avoid such a situation, members are encouraged to exchange for products of the same brand or category instead of requesting for a refund.

6.6. If a member's reward points balance becomes negative, SEIBU may suspend the e-Card until the account is settled.

7. Bonus Points

7.1. Bonus points are additional points available to members if they meet the qualifying spend criteria during special promotions, e.g. Extra Points Campaigns, and during the birthday month for DIAMOND and BLACK memberships.

7.2. In addition to the terms and conditions here, bonus points are further subject to the terms and conditions of the particular promotions during which they are offered.

7.3. Bonus points are not available to the member during 10% discount days.

7.4. When redeeming a bonus points offer from an e-Coupon, members must present the e-Coupon via the SEIBUKL App. Duplications or screenshots will not be accepted. Bonus points offered are non-transferable, non-refundable, and non-convertible to cash.

7.5. DIAMOND and BLACK memberships are eligible to earn Double Birthday Bonus Reward Points for 15 days during their birthday month, from the 1st to the 15th or from the 16th to the end of the month, depending on their birthdate. To ensure eligibility, members are encouraged to provide their birthday information when registering as a member.

8. Parking Perks for Black Members

8.1. Eligibility: This parking privilege is exclusively for members holding the SEIBU BLACK membership tier.

8.2. Redemption: Members who present a valid SEIBU BLACK membership e-Card will receive 1,500 Points (equivalent to RM10) per eligible redemption. Each member may redeem this privilege once per day, with or without purchase, at any cashier counter or at the CRM Counter, Level 2.

The BLACK e-Card must be presented at the time of redemption to qualify. Points will be credited to the member’s SEIBU account and will appear within the next business day after a successful redemption.

8.3. Exclusions & Variations: SEIBU reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate this privilege at any time without prior notice. Other terms and conditions apply.

9. Other Benefits and Privileges

9.1. In addition to the foregoing rewards, members are also eligible for other benefits and privileges at our SEIBU store such as:

9.1.1. Exclusive Members’ Discounts on qualifying purchases at our SEIBU store during campaign periods throughout the year.

9.1.2. Extra Reward Points on qualifying purchases at SEIBU on selected days.

9.1.3. 10% Discount Day. Except on Members Day Sale days, DIAMOND members have a choice of selecting any 1 day in a calendar year and BLACK members have a choice of selecting any 2 days in a calendar year during which they will be eligible for 10% discount on items purchased.

9.2. Members may book their 10% discount days through the SEIBUKL app or by contacting our Customer Service. A 24-hour notice period shall apply to all bookings. This privilege is given to the member only and may not be transferred to another person or exchanged for cash.

9.3. Members are to note that the benefits and privileges mentioned herein may not apply to certain items or brands on a case to case basis. Members should further note that the benefits and privileges may not be applicable in conjunction with other offers and promotions. All discounts mentioned herein are not applicable for purchases made at our online store. Members are advised to enquire in-store for a full list of exclusions.

10. Rewards and Benefits Subject To Availability

10.1. While we will attempt to ensure that members will enjoy the rewards, benefits and privileges that come with their membership, they are nevertheless subject to availability at the prevailing time. SEIBU reserves the right to amend or substitute them at its sole discretion.

10.2. Redemption of rewards, benefits and privileges are also subject to the member presenting their e-Card via the SEIBUKL app.

11. General

11.1. The terms and conditions herein may be amended at SEIBU’s discretion without notice. Latest updates will be made available at www.seibu.com.my.

11.2. Additional rules may apply to SEIBU employees and affiliates.

11.3. The use of the e-Card shall signify the member’s acceptance of the terms and conditions prevailing at the time of use.

11.4. SEIBU reserves the right to revoke a member's membership without notice which may lead to forfeiture of all point balances.

11.5. Members will be required to present their e-Card when redeeming reward points. In addition, members are to note that there may be occasions when they may be required to provide proof of identification.

11.6. Members are responsible for any fees, costs, charges, claims, or liabilities (including taxes) arising from their membership in the Programme.

11.7. Members are advised to keep their profiles up to date. SEIBU shall not be responsible for app launch failure, non-receipt of OTP alerts, missed deliveries, etc., arising from members’ failure to update their profiles.

12. Privacy and Your Data

12.1. By participating in the programme, the member is deemed to have given consent to SEIBU to collect and store their personal information, including their name, address, purchase history and all other information.

12.2. While SEIBU will ensure that the use any personal information provided by the member is in accordance with applicable data protection legislation in Malaysia, SEIBU shall be at liberty to use or share the information with its related or associated companies if it deems that the act will help SEIBU to better serve the member in the offering of goods and services and in the form of better market research and analysis.
